Personalised, and made to order.

Because every portrait is unique to your child, we can't restock, resell, or cancel an order once it's placed β€” which is why the preview-and-approve step matters so much.

The short version
  • Before paying: previews are free and unlimited. Keep trying until it's right.
  • Once paid: orders can't be changed or cancelled β€” the portrait is made to order.
  • If damaged in transit or misprinted: we'll reprint and ship a replacement at no cost to you. Report within 14 days of delivery.

Unlimited free previews before you pay

The preview step exists so you can approve the exact portrait before committing. It costs nothing, and you can re-render as many times as you like β€” switch scenes, try a clearer photo, try a different photo. Only press Order when it looks right.

Before checkout you'll tick a box confirming you've reviewed the preview and understand the order is personalised and final. That's your last chance to change anything β€” take it.

No change-of-mind cancellations

Under UK Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, goods made to a customer's specification or clearly personalised are exempt from the standard 14-day right to cancel. Your portrait is both β€” we start making it the moment you pay, with your child's face rendered specifically for you. We can't restock it, and we can't resell it.

Damage in transit or manufacturing defects

Your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 still apply β€” and we take them seriously. If your canvas arrives damaged, if it's a misprint, or if there's any print-quality defect, we'll reprint and dispatch a replacement at no cost to you.

To claim, email info@thelittleherocompany.com within 14 days of delivery with:

  • Your order number (starts EP-)
  • Clear photos of the damage or defect, and of the outer packaging if relevant

We don't need you to send the faulty canvas back β€” recycling it locally is kinder to the planet than shipping it both ways. We'll reprint and dispatch within one working day of confirming the claim.

Digital downloads

Digital files are delivered immediately after purchase. Because the product has been supplied and is yours to keep, digital orders are non-refundable once the download link has been used.

Common questions

I ordered the wrong size. Can I change it?

If the canvas hasn't gone to print yet, yes β€” reply to your confirmation email as soon as you can and we'll try to swap it. Once it's been handed to our print partner (typically within a few hours of payment), we can't change it.

My canvas arrived with a dent / crease / tear in it.

That's a damage claim β€” we reprint free. Email info@thelittleherocompany.com within 14 days with photos, and we'll ship a replacement immediately.

The colours look different to the preview on screen.

Screens and print materials render colour slightly differently β€” that's normal. If the difference is dramatic (a true print defect rather than a screen variation), send us a photo and we'll review. We don't treat typical screen-to-print variation as a defect.

The portrait doesn't look exactly like my child.

The preview is there specifically for this β€” to approve the likeness before paying. Once an order is placed, we can't re-render it on the grounds of artistic preference. If the preview didn't come out right, you should have tried again before paying (it's free to re-render any number of times).

Can I get a refund for a digital order?

Digital files are non-refundable once the download link has been used, since you've already received the product. If something's wrong with the file itself (corrupted, won't open, etc.), email us and we'll resend.
