Because every portrait is unique to your child, the preview-and-approve step happens before checkout.

The short version
  • Before paying: previews are free within our fair-use allowance of 10 previews per rolling 24 hours.
  • Once paid: orders usually cannot be changed or cancelled because the portrait is made to order.
  • If damaged in transit or misprinted: we reprint and ship a replacement at no cost. Report within 14 days of delivery.

Free previews before you pay

The preview step exists so you can approve the portrait before committing. It costs nothing to generate previews before checkout, subject to our fair-use limit. You can switch scenes, try a clearer photo, or start again before placing an order.

Before checkout you'll confirm you have reviewed the preview and understand the order is personalised and final.

No change-of-mind cancellations

Under UK Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, goods made to a customer's specification or clearly personalised are exempt from the standard 14-day right to cancel. Your portrait is made specifically from your selected scene and photo.

Damage in transit or manufacturing defects

Your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 still apply. If your physical print arrives damaged, if it is misprinted, or if there is a print-quality defect, we reprint and dispatch a replacement at no cost.

To claim, email hello@thelittleherocompany.com within 14 days of delivery with:

  • Your order number.
  • Clear photos of the damage or defect, and the outer packaging if relevant.

We usually do not need you to send the faulty print back. Recycling it locally is often kinder than shipping it both ways.

Digital downloads

Digital files are delivered after purchase. Because the product is personalised and supplied digitally, digital orders are non-refundable once the download link has been used. If the file is corrupted or will not open, email us and we will resend it.

Common questions

I ordered the wrong size. Can I change it?

If the print has not gone to production yet, reply to your confirmation email as soon as possible and we will try to swap it. Once it has been handed to our print partner, we may not be able to change it.

My print arrived with a dent, crease, or tear.

That is a damage claim and we reprint free. Email hello@thelittleherocompany.com within 14 days with photos and we will arrange the replacement.

The colours look different to the preview on screen.

Screens and print materials render colour slightly differently. If the difference looks like a true print defect rather than normal screen-to-print variation, send us a photo and we will review it.

The portrait does not look exactly like my child.

The preview is there so you can approve the likeness before paying. If you are not happy with the preview, try another photo or scene before ordering. If you believe the delivered file does not match the approved preview, contact us and we will review it.
