The portrait

How good is the face likeness?: The preview uses your uploaded photo as the face reference and places your child into the chosen scene. A clear, front-facing daylight photo gives the best result. You approve the preview before paying.
What makes a good photo to upload?: Four things help enormously:
Taken in natural daylight, not under harsh lamps or flash.
Front-facing and looking towards the camera.
Face is clear and not too small in the frame.
No sunglasses or hats covering the eyes.
Can I use a photo of more than one child?: Single-child scenes work best right now. For a sibling portrait, email us and we'll quote a custom version before starting.
Can I try again if the preview is not right?: Yes. Previews are free before payment, with a fair-use limit of 10previews per rolling 24 hours to prevent abuse. A paid order resets that allowance.
Is this an AI image?: Yes. The portrait is generated with an image model using your photo and the selected scene. The final poster or canvas is a real printed product.

How much does a portrait cost?: Digital downloads start at $5.99. Lustre photo posters are $39. Canvas prints start at $65and go up to $139. Physical print shipping is added at checkout and varies by product.
When am I charged?: Only after you have approved the preview and chosen a format. Preview generation happens before payment.
What payment methods do you accept?: All major credit and debit cards through Stripe, plus Apple Pay and Google Pay where supported. Your card details never touch our servers.
Can I use a gift code?: Not yet. We plan to add gift cards and promo codes later. If you need something for a specific occasion, email us.

How long does shipping take?: United States: 3–5business days. You'll receive a tracking email when your physical print is dispatched.
Do you ship internationally?: We currently ship to the UK and US. If you're elsewhere, email us and we can usually arrange it.
What if the print arrives damaged or misprinted?: We'll reprint and ship a replacement at no cost. Email us within 14 days of delivery with photos. Full details are on the returns & damage policy.
Can I cancel or change an order after paying?: Each portrait is personalised and made to order, so orders usually cannot be changed or cancelled once paid. That is why the preview step happens before checkout.

What happens to my child's photo?: It is uploaded over HTTPS, used to create your portrait, and deleted from our storage within 24 hours. We do not sell it or use it to train models.
Do you keep the final image?: For physical print orders, yes - we keep the finished print-ready file for up to 90 days in case we need to reprint. For digital-only orders, we delete it after the download window used by the site.
Is the site secure?: Yes. The site runs over HTTPS, payments go through Stripe, and we do not store card details.
